ABOUT REBECCA PASTO
I’m a junior at Rutgers University–Newark studying Computer Science with a minor in Social Justice, passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems.I have hands-on experience in education, FinTech, and tech roles, combining technical work with communication and project management. As President of Women in STEM and VP of Student Government, I’ve led initiatives to expand STEM opportunities and improve student resources, including a 24/7 grocery locker program. My internships involved building data pipelines, analyzing data, and contributing to projects using Agile and SAFe methodologies. At Rutgers, I explore the intersection of technology and social impact as a volunteer at HerWill, a member of the Rutgers-Newark ALPFA Technology Committee, and a BOLD Scholar. With experiences in Java, SQL, Python, and data analysis, I’m eager to apply my skills in diverse technical environments and connect with professionals passionate about technology, innovation, and creative problem-solving.
