I teach music to elementary students at multiple school sites within the CUSD. I use an Orff-based curriculum which incorporates fundamental Orff principles, solfege hand symbols, body percussion, and movement/dance, with a major focus on Orff instrumental ensemble work. Students develop musical skills as well as deepen their knowledge of the music and languages of world cultures. I make an effort in my curricula to include songs from a wide variety of cultures and promote intercultural understanding and language exposure. Since 2017 I\'ve served in an additional role as a district Induction Support Provider to provide mentorship, guidance and support to our newer music team members as they complete their Induction program.
