I have a caseload of 13 adults with developmental disabilities. I am responsible for these clients in their entirety, hence the name Program Manager. I oversee clients\' medical - I schedule medical appts and accompany clients to their appts. I maintain all medical documentation. HowardCenter is Rep Payee for many of the clients and I am responsible for managing their checkbooks, paying bills, and reconciling bank statements. I am responsible for helping clients to maintain their entitlements - i.e. Sec 8 vouchers, Social Security. I supervise 8 direct service staff. I also supervise contracted Shared Living Providers. Documentation requirements of this position are numerous - some examples are completion of Individual Support Agreements (Treatment Plans), Monitoring of ISB\'s (Individual Support Budgets - Medicaid Waiver Funding), Needs Reassessments, Personal Support Plans and Behavioral Support Plans, Comprehensive Social Histories and Person Story Updates, and lots more! I have excellent crisis management skills based on the positive rapports and understanding I have of my clients and based on creative solutions designed to meet the client where they are at with compassion in a judgment-free fashion. My communication skills are excellent and communication is the core of this position on so many levels - I facilitate team meetings, I need to maintain extensive amounts of documentation per State of Vermont regulations, I hold regular supervision meetings with the Direct Service Staff who support my clients and I am responsible for ensuring that the service they provide is quality and in line with the clients\' treatment plans, that they are up to par on their trainings, and that they are submitting documentation in a timely manner, and I complete annual evaluations for all staff I supervise. The responsibilities of the Program Manager are numerous and this description really only scratches the surface of what we do as Program Manager.

I have lived in Vermont all of my life. I grew up in Danville Vermont, where my parents continue to reside. I greatly value the beauty of nature and quiet time reading, writing, or being with nature. I hold a strong value of loving all people unconditionally and seeing the best in people (what is now coined as the strengths-based approach). I embrace a positive attitude and adjust my sails as necessary in tumultuous times. I love new adventures and challenges and love to travel. I worked at the YMCA following graduation from Trinity College before starting to do some respite work in 1992 with a family who received services from HowardCenter. In 1994, I became a Training Specialist Floater for the HowardCenter \"Apartment Program\". In 1996, I became a Program Manager with HowardCenter and am in this role currently. HowardCenter Developmental Services is the BEST place I have ever worked and I absolutely love the creativity, the excellent communication, and the positive CAN DO team and sharing across teams approach to solution development.
