WORK HISTORY
Adjunct Professor @Zelikow School Of Jewish Nonprofit Management
Designed and teach a new course, entitled \"Managing in Times of Crisis\", to masters level students at premier school for Jewish nonprofit professionals. Description as is follows:\"The last several years have been extraordinarily tumultuous, both in the U.S. and abroad. The disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the rising wave of Christian Nationalism and antisemitism, increasing effects of climate change, and a general assault on democracy have led to higher levels of uncertainty and conflict, both in the external world as well as within nonprofit institutions. In addition, catalysts of social reckoning from the #MeToo movement to Black Lives Matter, the reversal of Roe v. Wade to the women-led protests against Iran’s “morality police” abound. These external events and trends exacerbate “normal” challenges within nonprofit organizations and require special attention and new solutions. This course examines current trends and crises facing nonprofit organizations and how staff, leaders, and stakeholders can navigate them to find common ground and advance their missions, together.
