Tell the story of NGS work and products by determining if there is a story telling opportunity and creating long-form blogs that reflect the complex work being done in layman’s terms for awareness of the general public. • Assist in the development and review of communications plans and campaigns.• Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to draft social media content that reflects the work being completed by the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) and work with National Ocean Service (NOS) staff to post to appropriate NOS social media accounts.• Draft, edit, and create email announcements to inform subscribers about upcoming webinars, new products, important announcements, and job openings within NGS. • Lead the editing of monthly webinars and work with the web team to get them posted to the website.• Compile monthly email statistics for branch reporting.• Work with team members and other staff to streamline communication processes.• Create standardized presentations and products to be used by SMEs and senior leadership at external conferences and meetings. • Work with senior level leadership to plan and coordinate office-wide events. • Work with web team and subject matter experts to ensure content on website is accurate and timely.
