Ms. Barrantes has over 25 years of management experience in the budget and administrative management, public affairs and marketing in the public and private sectors. She was formerly with the City of Los Angeles serving as principal budget, legislative and policy analyst for the Mayor and City Council. Ms. Barrantes also served as Director of Government and Public Affairs and Air Quality Administrator for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and its predecessor entities. Forming The Sierra Group in 1993, Ms. Barrantes’ 25 years of success serving government clients has earned The Sierra Group great distinction and recognition in the marketplace. She has lead public relations and community facilitation services on many of the largest public transit projects in Southern California including Alameda Corridor Mid-Corridor Trench, Metro Gold Line Light Rail Line. Working in the community, she successfully led outreach for the Caltrans SR 710 Tunnel Technical Study of the underground conditions for tunneling to complete the freeway - a landmark accomplishment 40 years in the making.
