ABOUT REBECCA BARBER

Rebecca has worked in both female and male high dependency mental health rehabilitation services. Rebecca has supported the development of a new neuropsychiatry rehabilitation hospital and the opening of this service.Rebecca is accredited as a placement educator to have students from universities studying Occupational Therapy. She has been the placement coordinator for universities in North West England and North Wales. She has been working with local universities to support student education in Occupational Therapy and has been nominated for practice educator of the year 3 times with Wrexham University. Rebecca has also been a long arm practice educator.Rebecca has completed module one of sensory integration training with ASI Wise in 2019 and Sensory Integration Education with Sheffield Hallam University in 2026. She has completed different forms of training such as Personality Disorder, Motivational Interviewing, MOHOST, Recovery through Activity, Sensory Attachment Interventions and case formulations to offer a wide range of opportunities to support individuals in her care through the OT process. She has completed her sensory integration preceptorship and neuropsychiatry preceptorship. Rebecca has won the Occupational Therapist of the Year Award for Cygnet in 2022 and nominated for 3 other awards during this time. Rebecca\'s passion is wanting to help people as much as possible to achieve what they want to achieve and reach the goals that are most important to them. She is caring, passionate and bubbly and motivated to help others. Her phrase is \"Nothing is impossible!\"
