About Rebecca Affolder
Rebecca Affolder has over 20 years of experience advancing partnerships for global development, both outside and within the United Nations system. Previous posts held include Senior Officer and Head of the Global Health Team in the Office of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon; Special Adviser to Sir David Nabarro, the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Ebola; Director in the Office of Raymond Chambers, the UN Special Envoy for Health in Agenda 2030 and for Malaria, Head of the Executive Office for GAVI in Geneva; and Member of the Secretariat to the Commission for Africa, chaired by the UK Prime Minister in 2005. Rebecca has also held posts with the UK Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Canadian International Development Agency. She holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a BA (Hons) from the University of Alberta.
