Art Director (June 2017 - Present)Assistant Art Director (October 2015 - June 2017) Senior Graphic Designer (April 2013 - October 2015)Graphic Designer (August 2008 - April 2013)I oversee the art direction for the award winning All Animals magazine, including print and web/digital assets, and any other marketing needs for the global organization. I manage 2 senior graphic designers. I work closely with the magazine design team, alongside editorial and photo teams to create strong conceptual editorial layouts, animations and web resources for All Animals. Good storytelling is so important at Humane World to engage our readers and get them to take action and of course, donate.My duties involve coordinating photo-shoots, including planning, prep, and inspiration. I art direct photo-shoots with subjects ranging from people, animals of all kids and sometimes even plant-based food. I perform image research, photo editing and if needed, color correction to ensure images reproduce at their best. If the story has a need for an illustration, I brainstorm concepts with the magazine team and work with our in house illustrator to bring the concept to life I am part of a large in house creative team and work closely with other art directors and designers on branding, marketing and other projects. I further define and develop All Animals and Humane World branding across all mediums (print, digital, web video). I oversee the creation of designs for cross-channel projects like homepage billboards, share graphics and other web and social media resources.
