I have a unique specialty as a recognized trust and estate litigator concentrating on contested will and trust matters, breaches of fiduciary duty, mental capacity of testators and settlors and related matters. I\'ve lectured on these topics from time to time. I\'ve received the honor of being named a Michigan Superlawyer multiple times, a Toplawyer by dBusiness Magazine.I also represent buyers, sellers, developers and lenders of commercial real estate with respect to purchase and sale transactions, development, syndication and financing, including difficult \"work-out\" situations. I represent clients in a broad range of transactions from the sale of small industrial buildings to the development of a one million square feet retail shopping mall, to the development of a 450 unit residential condominium. These two areas of practice seem very different but they are actually very closely related as trusts and estates often involve issues pertaining to real estate.Finally, I\'m also very connected to the local business community and support local entrepreneurs through the Hertz Schram Deal Incubator that I moderate at the offices of Hertz Schram the first Tuesday of every month at 4:00 p.m.
