As a senior associate on DFC\'s impact team, I serve as investment impact due diligence point of contact for the Office of Small Business & Financial Services and Office of Investment Funds. I support proposed investments from origination to commitment, providing socioeconomic context research, impact scoring, and establishing relevant impact KPIs to evaluate project success.Achievements- Conducted due diligence on 70+ proposed investments representing over $6bn in new DFC commitments- Reviewed FY23 impact monitoring data for 18 investments and associated sub-projects representing over $300m in outstanding DFC commitments during the summer 2024 cycle- Led site monitoring trips to 6 DFC clients and their sub-projects for impact performance assessment and evaluations, providing meaningful insights to DFC leadership and business lines to inform future strategy and business development- Qualified 24 investments under the 2X Challenge in FY24, representing over half of all FY24 DFC 2X commitments- Collaborated with small working group to update 2X Challenge criteria for FY25 and successfully launched across 6 core DFC business lines on time- Co-wrote a portfolio evaluation including actual and modeled impact performance results using the Joint Impact Model (JIM) and reconstructed theory of change for OPIC investment at close-out- Piloted impact due diligence travel at DFC and provided relevant insights gained on-site at credit and investment committees which directly influenced investment decisions.Duties- Researches socioeconomic context (income inequality, poverty rates, demographic trends, sustainability goals, etc.) to draft and develop CC/IC papers- Evaluates potential impacts, including on target population, local employment, infrastructure, market, technology/knowledge, innovation, etc, and establishes relevant baselines and projected impact KPIs- Presents impact analysis to credit and investment committees to inform investment decisions.
