About Ryan Donovan Purcell
I’m a public historian and cultural programs producer specializing in New York City history and community-based storytelling. I design and lead public-facing initiatives that connect academic research with broad audiences through live events, partnerships, and interdisciplinary programming. My work spans teaching and course development at Fordham University, as well as curatorial and advisory roles with institutions such as the New-York Historical and the Universal Hip Hop Museum. Across these contexts, I focus on creating accessible, place-based programs that engage diverse publics and translate scholarship into dynamic cultural experiences.
