ABOUT RYAN MABLEY
Howdy, I\'m Ryan! I\'m a fourth-year Finance & Economics student at the University of Calgary, and I’m beyond excited to combine my commerce studies with hands-on experience and build real connections. My career aspirations are driven by a genuine interest in helping turn big ideas into reality—whether that’s through venture capital, investment banking, or any role where finance, strategy, and innovation intersect. Currently, I serve as an Investment Associate for the Alberta division of Front Row Ventures, a Business Administration Intern at Group 10 Engineering, and an Alumni Strategic Advisor at TechStart. These roles have taught me (and are still teaching me) how to balance big-picture strategies with rigorous financial analysis. Still, even more importantly, they\'ve connected me to an incredible community. I love meeting people who bring diverse stories and unique passions to the table, and I firmly believe that relationships are the true foundation for growth—whether personal, professional, or organizational. My long-term goal is to play a part in funding and fostering cool businesses that can create a positive impact in our world. I’m particularly drawn to venture capital for its focus on innovation and sustainability, and I’m equally excited about the dynamic, fast-paced environments of capital markets roles like investment banking and private equity. As I seek out new opportunities, I aim to contribute my skills in finance and strategy to drive change and help people realize their entrepreneurial visions. I am seeking new learning opportunities to expand my financial, professional, and personal skills. I love to challenge myself and will remain adaptable as I begin my professional journey. Beyond my career interests, I\'m a lifelong hockey fan and player, a passionate outdoors enthusiast, and a new convert to skiing, which I have thoroughly enjoyed so far.
