Designed a self-oscillating contactor economizer circuit end-to-end, from research and circuit architecture through LTSpice simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, and debugging to reduce contactor coil holding current and improve system efficiency.• Investigated hardware failures on analog and power PCBs, diagnosing switching-induced transients and ground bounce that contributed to gate driver failures and implementing improvements such as RC snubbers and clamp diodes.• Implementing PCB layout improvements and design modifications to improve robustness and reliability of existing hardware designs.• Performed system-level testing of electromagnetic launcher, capturing high-speed current, velocity, and transient behavior using oscilloscopes, Rogowski coils, and differential probes.• Developed test plans and procedures for technicians and trained them on hands-on hardware assembly including soldering, crimping, cable management, enclosure integration, and grounding practices to ensure reliable system builds.• Manage lab hardware inventory and component procurement, coordinating PCB fabrication orders, reviewing BOMs, and ensuring technicians have the components needed for system builds and testing.

I enjoy learning by building and experimenting with hardware. I like creating schematics, simulating circuits to understand their behavior, and then bringing them into the real world through prototyping and PCB development.A lot of my learning comes from experimentation—changing component values, trying different circuit approaches, and observing the results on measurement tools like the oscilloscope. Hardware debugging and tracking down the root cause of an issue is one of the most satisfying parts of the process.Currently focused on continuing to grow my experience in hardware design, circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
