Roderick Brown is a dynamic leader with 25+ years of expertise in Community Relations, Safety Compliance, Diversity Advancement, Sports Marketing, and Business Development across transportation, sports, community, and high-tech industries. Known for exceptional relationship-building and strategic planning skills, he specializes in helping clients develop, implement, and train for initiatives that drive mutually beneficial business goals.As a member of the UPS Galveston Bay District Management Team, Brown oversees Health & Safety and Community Relations across Metro Houston, managing employee safety and facility compliance throughout Texas and Oklahoma. He leads strategic partnerships, volunteer programs, and diversity advocacy, championing UPS’s four pillars: Health & Humanitarian Relief, Equity & Economic Empowerment, Local Community Engagement, and Planet Protection. Through the UPS Congressional Awareness Program, he collaborates with local organizations, businesses, and elected officials to strengthen communities.Brown heads the UPS Pride Alliance Business Resource Group in Houston, fostering authenticity and belonging for LGBTQ+ employees. He actively supports multiple UPS BRGs, including African American, Pride Alliance, and Creed: Hispanic Latino, amplifying diverse voices and driving inclusion. A seasoned community builder, he manages numerous volunteer projects annually, contributing to UPS’s goal of 30 million volunteer hours by 2030.Starting his UPS career in 2004 in Business Development, Brown has led initiatives with The UPS Stores, expanded partnerships with state universities, and negotiated sports sponsorships across major cities, earning President’s Club Honors twice. His leadership and advocacy have earned numerous awards, including Houston Business Journal Community Leadership Award, Marquis Who’s Who, LGBTQ+ Corporate Ally of the Year, Barbara Bush Humanitarian Legacy Award, and Top 50 Black Professional Community Leadership Award, among others.Brown serves as Board Vice President for B.I.G. Love Cancer Care, supporting children with cancer and their families. His partnerships span United Way, Greater Houston Hispanic Chamber, Asian Chamber, Houston Area Urban League, Blue Triangle Community Center, Healthcare for the Homeless, Fort Bend Family Promise, and the Magic Johnson Foundation.Rooted in service, equity, and empowerment, Brown drives change, builds bridges, and creates spaces where everyone belongs—delivering results through strategic leadership and community impact.
