WORK HISTORY
Cashier Team Customer Service Rep @The Home Depot
Swatara, PA, US
I began my career on the front end as a cashier, operating both regular and self-checkout registers to process customer purchases quickly and accurately. I provided excellent service by assisting shoppers with product questions, returns, and store information while maintaining accuracy in cash, credit, and mobile payments. I also monitored self-checkout areas, resolved technical or payment issues, and kept the checkout space organized and safe. After demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills, I advanced to the customer service desk, where I managed phone calls and in-person inquiries regarding customer complaints, product issues, and questions about orders or purchases. In this role, I frequently placed customer orders, processed product returns, and worked closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient store operations. Eventually, I was promoted to the Pro Contractor Sales department, where I worked directly with our large contractor clients. I handled phone sales and orders, processed credit card transactions, and performed account assessments to track sales trends and identify growth opportunities. I made recommendations on which accounts should be assigned to an account manager and regularly contacted clients to inform them about current promotions, sales events, and expiring perks or discounts.
