As a Store Manager i have the duty to keep the store managed correctly. In order to do that your stock file should be correct so you can focus on sales targets and achieve them, also concentrate on the maximum level you can utilise your staff to there potential as well as reduce the costs to keep within budget by delaying staff.I managed a stockfile split into four sections according to there suppliers to ensure the store has enough stock to survive till the next delivery depending on seasonal or term changes as the size of the stock room could hold limited amount stock.Date checking and cleanliness in a food business is important and the business should comply by food safety procedures.I developed a skill for quick learning and managed to memorise the whole menu for me to understand what i am selling to my customers and increase my product knowledge to increase sales and recommend products to them.As i understood the products and the concept behind the products, i realised the level of concentration in each product which consists of quality, quantity and presentation as each product represents the brand.Key holder : opening and closing shop, cashing up, checking the safe, opening and closing checks, date management, store cleanliness and compliance.I believe customer service is a vital skill which every business requires as a priority as it effects the business in many ways such as, increase in revenue, builds a better reputation, more stability with regular customers who will also reduce marketing cost as they will represent the experience they had which will draw more customer towards the business and your regular footfall is what relies on the longevity of the organisation in the market.
