Neurodiversity is the broad range of diverse neurotypes that make up human beings. Any neurologically based diagnosis gives a person the identity of \"neurodivergent\" aka \"different.\" Understanding this new world of understanding and framing our perspectives of the diversity of neurology among humans as normal and healthy is the key to access, rights and fulfillment for neurodivergent people. I work with Neurodivergent folks directly, providers, and those who love neurodivergent people to guide them to resources that include mentorships, readings, videos, literature and research as well as discussions with other neurodivergent people about what works. I frequently work with parents who are struggling with a new diagnosis for their child, or are finding that the treatments and therapies available are counterproductive. The neuordiversity paradigm is what sets us free from medical models and gives neurodivergent people access to full and autonomous lives. I provide consultation to parents, educators, teams, specialists, medical providers, etc. & to both groups and individuals.Examples of neurodivergence that may cause a parent or someone else to seek consultation might be: Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Mental Health diagnoses, ADHD, ODD, trauma, FAS, Learning Disabilities, and many more.I am fluent in English and American Sign Language so I work with Deaf families as well.
