ABOUT JIARUI RAYMOND LI
I am a senior with a 3.9+ GPA at Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business majoring in Global Business and Minoring in Economics. On-campus I am active in Marketing Club, Investment Banking Club, Social Innovation Collaboratory, Taekwon-Do Club, Philanthropy Club, Soccer Club, and Asian Pacific American Coalition Club. I was nominated to be part of the Fordham University Emerging Leaders (FUEL) program where I have the opportunity to develop my leadership skills. I enjoy working with people as teams and have interests in careers that intersect with entrepreneurship and sports. I am also a group leader of FU CSSA (Chinese Students & Scholars Association), engaging in organizing international events for Chinese International students in the NY area. I was born and raised in a small town, Xiantao (), in China, where I actively involved in differents kinds of Sports. I moved to Connecticut to live with a host family (Latino background) when I was 16 years old and graduated from Chase Collegiate school and as a result, have a unique command of Mandarin and American languages and cultures. I was actively involved in local business DECA high school programs. I learned to practice key leadership skills such as goal setting, consensus building, and project management to become an emerging leader and entrepreneur. During my summers in high school, I pursued opportunities to enhance my understanding of the business world including working for Standard Chartered, serving as a cultural ambassador for businessmen traveling to China, and working for a safety equipment exporter. However, my greatest satisfaction came from the Wechat account I founded to report on the professional sports events for over followers. In my free time, I volunteer with the Special Olympics helping raise money and support for special needs athletes. Recently, I joined the Jesuit honor society Alpha Sigma Nu, the international business honor society Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Honors Society for Economics Omicron Delta Epsilon, the national academic honor society Phi Kappa Phi, and Fordham Marketing Scholar Program. I am grateful to all my professors and classmates for their support, and I expect to learn something new and gain more business opportunities in such diverse communities.I am looking for internships to progress my knowledge in the world of business. You may contact me at j•••••@fordham.edu.
