Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to provide guidance on the determination of special education eligibility. Prepare comprehensive psychological reports of assessment findings with diagnoses and specific recommendations. Provide support to special education case managers in the development of Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) and present psycho-educational assessment findings in IEP meetings. Develop counseling goals on students’ IEPs and provide individual and group counseling services using a client-centered and a cognitive behavioral approach to address the social and emotional needs of students. Monitor implementation of interventions and evaluate student success/progress and provide formal updates on IEP goals. Perform crisis intervention services to students, staff and families as necessary. Conduct behavior based assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), and lead the development of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), as appropriate. Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents to offer prevention and intervention strategies to facilitate student’s educational, social, and emotional growth.
