I am a Talent Attraction and Acquisition leader experienced in using recruitment marketing to draw in candidates and build awareness of and engagement with the employer’s brand, as well as in using strategic sourcing and direct outreach techniques to fill positions that require highly specialized skills. Internally, I seek to streamline operational workflows and champion effective interdepartmental collaboration, all while providing white-glove level service for both clients and candidates. I am a seasoned professional with a diverse background that spans talent attraction, graphic design and art direction, and includes early career experience working in marketing and promotions in the music industry. When I recognized the need to change course amid the music industry’s paradigm shift—precipitated by the rise of file-sharing websites and the increasing digitization of physical products—I moved into graphic design and art direction. This experience honed my ability to visually communicate messages that resonate with audiences, as well as gave me a firsthand understanding of the skills required for success across all departments in the advertising world. I saw an opportunity to further leverage the experience I gained working in the ad industry, and pivoted to recruiting.My holistic approach to talent attraction and acquisition balances direct outreach and forging personal connections with candidates with pull strategies that increase an organization’s brand equity. Some examples of the latter include social media, direct mail, and email promotions; appearing on industry panels; and hosting networking or promotional events on behalf of my organization or in conjunction with industry partners.
