ABOUT RAY LONGBOTTOM BENG

A Master’s Degree qualified Chartered Engineering Leader, with highly developed management, design engineering and delivery skills.Extensive experience built up over thirty years within the automotive engineering industry, working for both established and fast growing OEMs, and within a Technology start-up company, leading teams across all phases of vehicle engineering design and development from advanced concepts through to production launches. Passionate about building, inspiring and leading teams, as well as coaching to help people develop and grow along the way.Responsibilities have included operational and budget responsibility for circa 20 team members, defining departmental strategy and development, and leading the delivery of complex design engineering solutions for both advanced vehicle architectures and vehicle styling programmes. More recently, excellent experience in building and leading teams within a technology start-up company, driving innovative solutions for both product and process, with the target to deliver radical new electric vehicles for end-to-end sustainability within the commercial vehicle sector.KEY SKILLSExcellent leadership performance, combined with strategic thinking.
