I have authored and co-authored several infrastructure needs studies for First Nations communities, with the long-term objective of closing the infrastructure gap between First Nations and Canadian Municipalities. Additionally, I am presently acting as project manager for the design and construction of a 25-lot residential subdivision in a First Nation community, assisting with design, planning and construction oversight.I have led and contributed to several successful proposals for projects, ranging from infrastructure needs studies, to design and contract administration.

ABOUT RICHARD WEISS

After working in various communications roles over 10 years, I decided to take my career in a new direction. As a problem solver by nature, I\'m drawn to engineering. So, I returned to university to earn a degree in civil engineering. Key Accomplishments- Authored engineering reports on the infrastructure needs of various First Nations in Ontario, in support of improving infrastructure and economic opportunities for Indigenous communities- Managed project budgets up to including a preliminary design of a commercial-scale kitchen, and a residential subdivision design. Probable Cost of Construction for these projects are more than $8M- Prepared and supported several successful competitive proposals for municipal and First Nation infrastructure feasibility and design projects- Led communications campaigns in support of major government programs, including PSPC Ontario Region\'s Professional and Technical Services, and the Build in Canada Innovation Program.
