About Rawan Darouiche

I am an incoming School Social Worker at Northville Public Schools. Through this role I will be able to work with students from all age levels, ranging from grades K-12. My work week will be split between an elementary, middle, and high school. I am also a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor where I research Trauma-Informed Programs and Practices for Schools, more specifically developing modules for teachers and other school personnel to learn from. I have also integrated the research framework into school social work courses for the professional development of graduate students. Through this role, I have been given the opportunity to present a workshop at a national conference. In my previous role as a Social Work Intern at the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), I was able to work with clients in a school-based and outpatient clinic setting, providing CBT and other forms of therapy to children with mild to moderate diagnoses. I was also responsible for completing Biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and maintaining client charts. In the past, I have worked as a Program Assistant at the University of Michigan - Dearborn, Office of TRIO programs. Here I had the opportunity to assist at-risk high school students with preparing for college and post-secondary education.
