I am currently pursuing MS in MIS from Texas A&M University. I got interested in this course because I was passionate about the work I did during my 1 year of work experience at Mastercard, as well as due to the final year project I undertook during college. I felt that an advanced or higher education would enable me to hone my skills and contribute further. In Mastercard, I worked as a Data Analyst and carried out data analytics of the change rejections. The tool identified the various factors which helped in bringing down the rejection rate and increasing the productivity of the team by up to 40%. This tool enabled the managers to identify the pressing issues and were able to target specific trainings for the employees. During the development of the tool, I have had hands on experience with coding macros using VBA and have carried out data visualizations in both Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.Also, I have authored an research paper in the domain of machine learning and it reflected my work done for the project which required intricate data analytical skills. Additionally, I have had a training to develop data models which has further piqued my interest in this field. I can proficiently use GRETL, SQL, SQL Server Data Tool to perform ETL process, Microsoft Excel, Python, etc.I would be really excited if an organization could leverage my data analytical skills and problem solving ability, as I believe these two things drive me towards excellence. I am looking forward to working with a team that is as passionate about data as I am and would like to create wonders with the help of technology.
