ABOUT RAVIRAJ POOSARLA

Raj currently serves as a Renewable Energy Leader at Arup, where he plays a key role in driving the firm\'s contributions to the energy transition. In this position, he leverages his extensive experience in the solar and energy storage sectors to lead complex renewable energy projects and contribute to business growth.With over 12 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, Raj has a strong track record in the development, engineering, and management of large-scale projects. Prior to joining Arup, he held the position of Director of Engineering at Solar Proponent, specializing in utility-scale solar and energy storage development in ERCOT, overseeing a portfolio of over 6GW.Previously, as a Senior Project Development Engineer at Savion, LLC (now a subsidiary of Shell), Raj managed and supervised a diverse portfolio of over 100 PV Solar projects across 20 states in the USA. His experience also includes valuable time at Fluor Corporation as an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Engineer and Performance Guarantee Engineer, where he oversaw 400MW of Solar Plants.Raj\'s expertise is built upon a strong educational foundation, with undergraduate studies completed in India. He holds a master’s degree in power and energy systems from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and further complemented his technical background with a master’s in business administration from the University of Kansas, specializing in management and marketing.
