ABOUT RAVINDRA RAO

A Fellow Chartered Accountant from India, with 35+years experience in the areas of consulting in international professional firms. I\'m currently Partner Risk Consulting with Kalyaniwalla & Mistry LLP, CAs (K&M) an almost 100 years old accounting & audit firm based in India. With offices at a number of locations in India, K&M are also a member firm of Mazars, the global professional services provider firm. Prior to this & after a 20 year stint at Moore Stephens in the Sultanate of Oman, I joined MAZARS in India, with specific responsibility towards developing Mazars\' Western & Southern India consulting practice. Mazars is an international, integrated and independent organisation, specialising in audit, accountancy, tax, legal and advisory services. We are thriving: Mazars started with a single accountant in 1940 - we are now strong in 100+ countries. We have grown sizably since 2006, with approx€2.8 billion in turnover. We are integrated: more and more Mazars employees are working abroad every year; we have a unique brand and global visual identity. We are transparent: Mazars is still the only audit and advisory firm to publish a comprehensive annual report and consolidated financial statements showing who we really are. Some of the objectives by which I live are to \"Be happy\" & to do all that it takes to achieve that, to churn out leaders wherever I am, to empower people around me, to stress on the importance of empathy & humility as one rises, to have people work around me fearlessly not afraid of failure so long as they value the learnings thereon, to promote transparency & governance and to make people realise the values of \'walking the talk\'. Fluency in English & a broad understanding of reading & understanding the French language are added passions! I\'m also extremely passionate about minimalism, no wastage & building a sustainable community!
