On-site TBM operation and management1)Performance monitoring: Oversee the daily operation of the TBM from a control room, monitoring real-time data from various sensors to manage and optimize its performance, excavation rates, and alignment.2)Ground support: Manage the face pressure of the TBM to prevent ground settlement, which is critical for urban metro projects to avoid damaging existing buildings and infrastructure above ground.3)Segment installation: Supervise the installation of precast concrete segments that form the permanent tunnel lining as the TBM advances.4)Troubleshooting: Address mechanical, electrical, and operational issues as they arise, troubleshooting problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous excavation.5)Muck management: Oversee the removal of excavated material (\"muck\") from the TBM via conveyor systems and its transport out of the tunnel.
