Responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering team for the Large Power Systems Division’s capacity expansion project, covering the following key domains:Plant Layout and Simulation using Tecnomatix software:Developing detailed simulation models for a new greenfield final assembly line, executing comprehensive logistics simulation studies to improve material movement in the existing plant, and driving simulation-based optimization initiatives for foundry operations to enhance process performance and operational efficiency. Additionally, collaborating with cross functional, production, and logistics teams to validate scenarios, identify bottlenecks, and improve material flow. PPAP implementation:Supporting the client in generating the Standard Work Elements Sheet (SWES), Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Safety Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (SFMEA), and Control Plan (CP) for the engine final assembly line. This includes identifying potential failure modes and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies. Manufacturing Engineering Model (MEM): Developing MEM models / stage models, and detailed drawings for engine components to support manufacturing process enhancements compared to the existing machining strategies. This work focuses on optimizing manufacturability, improving throughput, and ensuring high precision parts production efficiently in the new facility.Time study & Optimization opportunities: Involved in conducting detailed time studies and identifying optimization opportunities to increase the throughput of existing machines. Supported the client in evaluating current process performance, analyzing takt time gaps, and implementing data driven improvements to maximize equipment utilization. Additionally, contributed to improving vehicle and pedestrian safety along the factory’s main aisle by assessing risks and recommending layout and traffic flow enhancements.
