I am Ravichandran with BE Mech Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy Chennai, having 36 years of professional experience My Significant achievements are Established a Valve Manufacturing set up in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from locating a place to building the factory, to selection of machinery, identifying the right resource and team building, obtaining the statutory licenses and certificates to operate the factory in KSA like ISO, API Certifications and ARAMCO Plant ID & 9 COM Approval of the products, order booking and operating and supply of valves to the customers till the complete commissioning of the Facility for revenue generation, being the sponsor of the company L&T Valves Arabia Manufacturing LLC, Lead the Production engineering department and headed the Operational Excellence department, taking the facility to the next stage by incorporating the Op Ex initiatives, closely worked with Mr Takushi Kasahara in implementing Lean cells, Kizuki, Poke yoke, Kanban and VSM implementation resulting in enhancing the productivity as well creation of space and elimination of duplicate codes in the valves components Project Lakshya Champion of L&T Valves for the Triple Offset Butterfly Valves and taken the product business from Rs 20 Cr to Rs 100 Cr per year, with design modification, bench marking and reverse engineering of the product towards making the product bi-directional, Shell TAT and size range extension upto 100 \", from class 300 to class 1500, Long pattern, Top entry and Cryogenic valves in TOBV, leading to scale up of the product business Played a key role in shifting the Super H Plug valves from the factory under closure to the new factory, setting up the facility and established the manufacturing from 1/4\" to 24\" from call 150 to 2500,from creating space, selection of machinery, installation and commissioning,establish the production process creating a cross functional team under my leadership. Today it is 20 years old and running successfully Played a critical role of Heading the GGC Valves for three plants, operating from the primary plant at Kancheepuram and established centralized setup of supply chain, planning from decentralized making the product lean resulting to customer satisfaction & OTD With 36 years of experience, have professional expertise developed in + Product lead and Process establishment + Project & Facility commissioning + Equipment Engineering + Productivity & Process concept & Strategy + Operational Excellence + After market & Shut down services of valves + Skill development & Training
