WORK HISTORY
Director General, Defence Industrial Strategy @Department of National Defence/Ministère de la Défense nationale
Ottawa, ON, CA
As DG Defence Industrial Strategy, I lead the development and execution of Canada’s first whole-of-government strategy to align defence investments with national industrial, economic, and security priorities. I provide strategic direction to ensure that historic levels of defence investment translate into sovereign industrial capacity, resilient supply chains, and long-term prosperity for Canadians.I am building and leading a brand-new team to drive this vision—mobilizing interdepartmental partners, industry leaders, and allies to create policy coherence, define sovereign capability priorities, and deliver clear demand signals for Canadian industry. Our work strengthens Canada’s role in allied supply chains, accelerates innovation, and integrates economic, technological, and national security considerations into defence planning. By combining fresh talent with deep expertise across government and industry, we are shaping a modern, globally competitive defence industrial base and ensuring Canada has reliable access to the capabilities needed to defend the country. This work is central to strengthening Canada’s sovereignty, enhancing economic security, and ensuring the Canadian Armed Forces have timely access to the capabilities they need—while fostering innovation, jobs, and growth across the country.
