Engineering leader building hyperscale serverless compute infrastructure powering modern cloud and AI workloads at massive scale.At Amazon Web Services, I lead the organization responsible for core compute and networking systems behind AWS Lambda and related serverless services—enabling secure execution of customer code across hundreds of millions of containers and trillions of requests daily. My work focuses on performance, isolation, networking, and cost efficiency in one of the world’s largest distributed systems.I’ve led key initiatives across Lambda’s evolution, including VPC networking, microVM-based isolation, and cold start optimization—expanding the range of workloads that can run efficiently on serverless platforms, from data-intensive systems to machine learning and GenAI applications. This infrastructure powers services such as Lambda, Aurora DSQL, and Amazon Bedrock.Prior to AWS, I spent over a decade at Cboe Global Markets building ultra-low latency trading systems with microseconds execution time and sub-second failover-recovery, supporting high-frequency and algorithmic derivatives trading at scale. This experience continues to shape my approach to reliability, performance, and distributed system design.I hold six US patents in cloud computing and serverless networking, along with a master’s degree from IIT Delhi and executive education at Kellogg School of Management.Outside of work, I mentor students through Working in the Schools (WITS), helping them discover the power of curiosity and asking questions.

We offer an un-differentiated compute platform for securely executing untrusted (customer-provided) code across tens of millions of containers. Servers are the lifeblood of serverless services and we enable them efficiently and reliably, handling trillions of transactions daily to ensure the success of AWS serverless services such as Lambda, Athena, and GenAI applications like Bedrock.I,along with the superstar engineers on my team, hold multiple patents in the cloud computing and serverless networking domain.
