Mainly tasked with turning around failing business units to profit through cultural change, my extensive experience at senior management and board level combined with expert on the ground tactical planning allows me to apply a broad range of skills to manufacturing, mining, supply chain, power and process related industries. Leading multinational and listed companies, I have further broadened my experience by leading regulatory and corporate governance, EHS and operational risk management at board level.Throughout my career, I’ve been sought out based on my success through a passionate people-focused approach. I have partnered with leadership teams and key decision makers at the highest level to formulate and implement strategic plans and process improvements that expand opportunities, driving multi-million dollar outcomes to improve safety, productivity, quality, and customer service in power stations, mines, smelters, manufacturing plants and supply chains.As comfortable in overalls as I am in a suit, I have been widely recognized for moving fluidly between all levels of the organization, from C-suite to plant floor, successfully winning trust and aligning the interests of competing stakeholders from employees and trade unions to government officials at the highest level. Now resident in the US for more than 3 years, I have extensive experience with fostering an environment of mutual trust, open communication, honesty, and respect. I am multilingual: Fluent English with a working knowledge of Dutch and Spanish.
