ABOUT RAVI LIMAYE

I became the CEO of Wockhardt UK in 2019 responsible for P&L of UK and Emerging markets - Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, three manufacturing sites in UK and India and Global pharmaceutical R&D It has been a fascinating journey leading the company through challenging times imposed by the pandemic. The company played a pivotal role in UKs vaccination drive. We manufactured the Oxford / AstraZeneca Covid vaccine which was the mainstay in UK’s vaccination program. Almost 60 % of all vaccines deployed in UK came from our company along with 14 % of EU supply. Even more importantly we have supplied to over 43 COVAX countries in the developing world.We have also made some transformational changes in our Pharmaceuticals business. We have created a strong new product portfolio for U.K. and Emerging Markets which is expected to deliver great value to the patients and NHS. Key investments have been made in critical capital projects enhancing productivity. The company is truly set for a sustainable growth trajectory and I am incredibly proud of what my team has achieved Before Wockhardt I was responsible for Global Commercial Operations of Biocon as President on the company’s executive board. I led Biocon’s successful entry in global Biosimilar markets, developed the 5 year strategy roadmap, negotiated critical global collaborations and spearheaded company’s entry in the US market Before Biocon I worked for over 17 years in GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis in India and globally in roles of increasing responsibility I have been associated in the past with a US startup focused on sterile injectables. I was also a Senior Advisor Pharmaceuticals for Actis, a leading global PE firm
