ABOUT RAVI KOTAMRAJU
Currently pursuing a BS in Biochemistry with a Minor in Economics at Santa Clara University, I am driven by a curiosity about the natural world and a commitment to solving complex problems through a scientific lens. My academic and professional journey has been marked by hands-on experience in both the laboratory and classroom where I\'ve honed skills in FTIR, IR Spectroscopy, and a variety of other analytical techniques.As a Research Assistant, I collaborated with Dr. Benjamin Stokes by expanding on his previous research about the protodeformylation of tertiary homobenzaldehydes. This role has allowed me to develop a robust understanding of organic and synthetic chemistry through extensive experimentation.In parallel, my experience as a Laboratory Technician has not only sharpened my technical abilities but also enhanced soft skills, particularly leadership and interpersonal communication. Managing laboratories and teaching hundreds of students has taught me the importance of clear communication in promoting a productive environment.Outside the lab, I applied my skills in a different arena as a Marketing Assistant, where I orchestrated campaigns aimed at engaging youth in sports, sharpening my abilities in public speaking and e-commerce.I am eager to leverage my comprehensive background in science and my analytical prowess to contribute to innovative projects in the biotechnology sector and beyond.
