Having around 7+ yrs of IT experience with around 1.5yrs of experience as an Azure data engineer. My key Responsibilities as an Azure data engineer include: Design, develop and implement robust and scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure datafactory, Pyspark to support data ingestion, transformation and loading processes. Collaborate closely with data scientists, analyst and other cross- functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into efficient data solutions. Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors in data pipelines ensuring data integrity and availability. Explore and recommend new tools, technologies to enhance data engineering processes and productivity. Loading data extracted from multiple APIs and other different data sources to Azure datalake/ blob storage. Analysing data using streaming and analytical tools like apache spark. Before working as an Azure Data Engineer I was working as a SQL server Database Administrator where my job responsibilities include: Migrating and upgrading SQL servers from one version to the other. Implementing the database availability and disaster recovery solutions in order to prevent application downtime. Regularly patching and fixing the vulnerabilities in order to make the system secure and up to date. Database access management to avoid the unauthorized database access. Managing and scheduling the database backups depending upon the environment and backup policies.
