ABOUT RAVEN BAXTER
I became a molecular biologist because of DVDs I ordered for free in high school.(HHMI Holiday Lectures on Science, if you\'re curious.) That moment turned into a career dedicated to making science feel accessible, exciting, and meant for everyone.I\'m the Founder & CEO of Fervae, the first social media management platform designed for science communication. Research discovery, source verification, cross-platform publishing, and communication training — built for anyone and any organization communicating science to the public.I serve on the Board of Directors of the Association of Science Communicators, where I lead the Science Communication Consortium on Ethics, establishing shared standards for responsible science communication. I also lead development and partnerships, growing the organization\'s external reach and building cross-institutional collaborations.I hold a Ph.D. focused in Science Education from the University at Buffalo, an M.A. and B.A. in Biology from Buffalo State University. My research examines how messenger credibility, message design, and cultural context shape public understanding and trust in science. I\'ve developed and delivered science programming across the full K-12 through university pipeline, and that range informs everything I build.I built Dr. Raven the Science Maven, a science communication platform reaching followers and generating over 50 million monthly impressions. I host Pfizer\'s Science Will Win podcast, and I\'ve delivered keynotes across academia, industry, entertainment, and corporate education. I founded The Science Haven, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit connecting local partners and institutions to bring sustained science learning to underserved communities. Previously, I led cross-functional teams at Mount Sinai producing multimedia educational resources reaching global audiences.Fortune, Forbes, and the Smithsonian have recognized my contributions to the field. I bring energy into every room, every keynote, every collaboration. And I bring the research training and creative vision to back it up.My impact is rooted in science, but it extends across the broader academic and professional landscape. I\'m a bridge builder, a culture shifter, and a force for making learning feel like it belongs to everyone, especially the communities that traditional messaging has historically left out.fervae.com
