ABOUT RAUL VALVERDE
Raul is a principal at Valley Geo. He joined the team in 2010 as a project engineer. Prior to Valley Geo, Raul worked as field engineer on the Sea-to-Sky Highway and Port Mann Bridge with Western Canada Peter Kiewit. Raul has completed construction management, geotechnical work, and material testing for most types of civil construction projects, ranging from highways, bridges, and multi-storey high-rise structures, to commercial and residential developments. Practical experience has been gained from site investigations, construction inspections, shoring system designs and implementation, and site-specific problem resolutions encountered during construction. Through his experience, Raul has been involved frequently in client and contractor liaison issues, site meetings, and resolution disputes. Raul is an active member in his community as a soccer coach for the Langley United Youth Soccer Association. He mentors and coaches young athletes to develop problem solving and team work skills though the means of sports. Raul is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
