With over 24 years in Trade Finance, I lead the Risk & Control function for Trade Finance unit overseeing South Asia markets for Standard Chartered Bank, where I focus on risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and proactive risk identification. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I ensure our Trade Finance offerings meet regulatory standards and continuously enhance our control framework. Additionally, I serve as lead trainer, guiding teams and clients through product and operational best practices. Previously, as Product Manager, I was involved in the launch of the Trade Finance business for a local bank in India, gaining hands-on experience in market strategy and product development. My foundation lies in 21 years of Trade Operations, where I advanced from leading client service and advisory to heading National Product Operations. There, I specialised in technical advisory on Trade Products and compliance, helping clients optimise their trade solutions within international and regulatory guidelines. A keen enthusiast in exploring ways to leverage technology to digitise Transaction banking space, I am familiar with Agile framework having worked as a Scrum Master in delivering Client Journey projects. I have extensive expertise in the field of Documentary Trade, Supply Chain Finance, & Regulatory Compliance. My passion lies in Product Management, Training, and Advisory, where I aim to drive impactful, compliant solutions that support business growth and client value.
