WORK HISTORY
Software Engineer Intern @Arm
Cambridge, GB
Investigated and improved efficiency and parallelism of Scala and C++ code for an internal compiler, improving compile-time and runtime performance. This reduced the model generation time, benefiting our stakeholders- Profiled the Scala and C++ code with a variety of tools (e.g, VisualVM, Flame Graphs). Created reports on my performance improvement changes, which were sent out to stakeholders- Managed DevOps workflows (created and debugged Jenkins pipelines, handled JFrog Artifactory artifacts, updated and debugged the team Slackbot which was hosted in AWS). This included updating Python scripts and Makefiles (called from Jenkins pipelines) to generate better graphs from performance reporting jobs. Helped team members when they faced difficulties with DevOps tasks- Demonstrated full ownership of and managed one of the releases. This involved contacting stakeholders and team members in a swift and timely manner, handling the Jira release tickets and Confluence release note pages, redeploying websites, and sending out release communications.
