ABOUT ABHISHEK RATHOD

Control Systems Engineer with a Master’s degree in Information and Electrical Engineering, specializing in PLC-based automation, commissioning, and system optimization for industrial and energy applications.I currently work on the development and commissioning of PLC- and VFD-controlled systems for large-scale photovoltaic tracker solutions, where I focus on improving control stability, reducing commissioning faults, and ensuring reliable operation under varying field conditions. My work includes Siemens TIA Portal / Step7 programming, integration of industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC UA), on-site troubleshooting, and close technical coordination with customers, suppliers, and project teams.Previously at Caterpillar Energy Solutions, I combined automation and data engineering by developing real-time data pipelines and visualization solutions using AWS, Docker, and industrial protocols. My master’s thesis focused on scalable data architectures for monitoring, diagnostics, and alarm handling in energy systems. I also gained hands-on hardware experience through the development of electronic test systems, circuit design and simulation, and measurement-based validation.I bring a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving and enjoy working at the intersection of automation, hardware, and system integration. With strong transferable SPS fundamentals, I am able to onboard efficiently to new control platforms and technologies. I value collaboration, technical ownership, and continuous improvement, and I am motivated to contribute to robust, high-performance industrial automation solutions.
