Responsible for strategic direction and innovative, customer focused technology solutions that support and advance the University’s mission. This role is responsible and accountable for all institutional information technology and digital services that enable and protect Kent State students, faculty, researchers and staff. Strategic efforts and accomplishments in this role are focused on continual modernization and developing our people, skills, processes, policies, data insights and relevant technologies that are critical to advancing and protecting Kent State\'s Student\'s First mission. Our strategies are centered around five priorities to bring value to Kent State: People: We strive to be a welcoming environment which invests in people, respects broad and diverse input, and supports their ambition to grow and serve. Our digital skills framework aims to improve digital fluency within our roles and strengthens power skills to support their overall growth as a person and professional. Revenue: We strive to make our division more impactful to support the key areas of the university which derive our revenues which sustain our mission. Margin: We strive to make what we do and what we develop more efficient so that we effectively leverage the resources which are entrusted to us and to the university. Risk: We strive to make IT more resilient so that our reputation is protected and our digital environment is available, our digital identities are protected and vulnerabilities are mitigated. Innovation: We strive to continually improve IT with curiosity and exploration of industry advances and a mindset that loves the problem more than the solution.
