About Rashna Kapadi

Design for me has always been more than just for aesthetic appeal, but a means of offering serenity for the end consumer albeit temporarily, considering the industry I come from.Part of the Construction Industry over 23 years, during which have contributed in the complete value chain. form land acquisition to property conversions and while doing so have always kept SERVQUAL model in mind.During this journey have demonstrated both design and project management skills.In the recent past led a team, which won the prestigious Mahindra group award amongst 26 entries for Design Thinking at Milan, Italy and adjudged & felicitated by panel comprising of Mr. Anand Mahindra ( Chairman : Mahindra), Harry West ( Principal at Invincible Design: Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Tim Parsey - USA ( Design and Business Advisor ) The entry won amongst international designers such as Italian Prenin Ferena. Have since the award filed for patenting on the idea, and am currently leading its implementation on the ground. In addition to the aforementioned have also been a recipient of the Charles Correa UDRI award for the final year dissertation, an article covering my project was published in the Times of India.Apart from Architectural product and Interior design am experienced at urban planning, overseen landscape projects and have collaborated with HOK, Cracknell, BeltCollins for clients such as Jindal, Reliance, Mahindra, Central Govt of India,Raheja, Lokhandwala, Ensaara, Tata,Taj,Citrus Hotels,Lemon.Have over the years conducted and operated multiple social events through my social group called “We love you ” and “SKEF“ and been an active participant in NGOS like Save the Children: India and Jhep. In addition to philanthropic ventures and have been a visiting design faculty at Academy of Architecture : Mumbai for final year dissertation and third academic year for consecutive three years. Art camps and love for Badminton and Throwball keep me alive. I am the vice captain of a Mumbai Women Throwball Team : ETHEREAL SLINGERS.
