Coding. It had me at \"Hello World!\".Motivated, enthusiastic and dry-witted software engineer with 10+ years of experience in backend & frontend design and development. My first line of code in high school and I was hooked, after which I tore through all the algorithms and data structures books.Naturally, my major in undergrad was Computer Science & Engineering. I met other programming enthusiasts with who I won coding contests and hackathons. I organized symposiums and workshops on Software Development. I also earned my Diploma in Java, from NIIT, Chennai, India. I was one of 30 students from my university of 1200 students to be selected for an intensive training program in Big Data Analytics by experts at BNY Mellon.I landed my first internship during my final year at the BNY Mellon Technology, Chennai, India and trained in frontend, backend, and database management, honing my skills in Java EE, Spring, Hibernate, front-end design, Oracle, MySQL. Immediately after the internship, I was awarded the role of a software developer. I was given the freedom to explore my interests in all domains of application development from front-end design of login pages, backend programming and creating API functionalities for delete functions, database management using MySQL and Oracle to unit testing using JUnit Mockito. I also conducted workshops in Java, HTML, AngularJS and React for non-technical members of the team. I earned technical and leadership skills, life-long friends and free lunches.I finally brought myself and my ambitions halfway across the globe to the United States, the land of opportunities and cheeseburgers. I started my Master’s in Computer Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in Fall\'18. I have papers on Model-Driven Testing and Similarity Algorithms under my belt. I’m the owner of a code log, The Force of Code that documents optimized solutions for various programming questions. I’m a recent member of the Women in Tech organization that conducts seminars where successful women of the tech industry discuss the recent advancements.When I’m not coding or watching cute puppy videos, you can find me working at an Adult Autism Center where I assist associates with everyday social activities. I trained in an Indian Classical dance form, Bharatanatyam for 13 years and have given over 100 performances. Coming from a family of chess masters, I’ve been playing the game since 7.I\'m on the lookout for my next big adventure as Software developer where I can use the skills garnered over the years to use and make a positive impact in society.
