A communications specialist with over two decades of rich experience as a corporate communications leader and as an entrepreneur in India and APAC region (based in Singapore). Specialize in developing and implementing communications strategy, building effective communications teams and support infrastructure, integrated storytelling, leadership communication and positioning, digital and social media, CSR initiatives, reputation management, event PR, community building, influencer and analyst community, content marketing and traditional PR. Currently, as head of communications at VMWare India, I am responsible for managing communications for the Sales and Marketing organization and the R&D center. VMware plans to invest $2B in India over the next 5 years and has a huge presence in India that is growing rapidly. I am a passionate, creative and disciplined person who likes to constantly learn, try new things and innovate.

   Responsible for significantly increasing VMware’s profile in India, developing and implementing a communications strategy and building high impact extended teams to deliver on that vision. As a member of VMware’s India leadership team, I partner with other leaders locally and globally to help the business deliver on its goals and shape perception of VMware as a great place to work. I drive communications for the sales and marketing organization, the R&D center and CSR/tech for good initiatives. Other key responsibilities and initiatives include: o Helping VMware transition from a company that has the CIO’s mind share to one that has the CEO’s. Positioning VMware as a mainstream enterprise software company in the new cloud era. o Developing a scalable PR operations infrastructure and team to deliver on the objective to significantly increase mind share. Extended the communications team to include specialist teams focused on various facets of communication – traditional PR, digital and social media, content creation and event marketing o Leadership communication to highlight the key initiatives and achievements of global leaders, including global CEO, COO and CIO, as visionary leaders in an emerging enterprise technology industry and as friends of India o Innovating to establish VMWare as a trendsetter in communications strategy that goes beyond a traditional media centric approach. Delivered many firsts for VMware globally – in the social media and new media space o Driving communications for Project TAARA as part of a global and regional team with executive leader sponsorship from APAC.
