About Rashid Yahya

With almost 30 years of experience in flight training, aircraft maintenance, FBO operations and business development, I have seen and experienced how many succeed and sometimes fail at what they love to do. So, I live by the phrase that ‘the brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all’. Certified by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) as a Gold Seal Flight Instructor and approved by the FAA multiple times as a Chief Flight Instructor of a FAA Part 141 Professional Flight Academy, I have had the pleasure of flying and teaching students in a variety of airplanes from single engine to multi engine in general aviation categories. I have created many training programs which have received FAA and overseas approval. My background in engineering and management has really helped me in establishing these various programs and procedures. To build strong relations and receive training approvals from international authorities to train international applicants, I made a multitude of trips overseas. Through this, I was able to understand the learning dynamics of other cultures, which gave me an insight on how to teach, coach, and instruct these individuals. I have also been involved in community service work outside the office with Non-Profit Organizations that provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors and help aid education in various other countries. I continue to dedicate myself to improving aviation education and improving the lives of individuals. I was the recipient of \'Flight Instructor of the Year 2015-16 awarded by the Oakland Flight Standards District Office of the FAA and was also recognized by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County by a resolution for my contributions to aviation, education, and flight safety.“Anything is possible only if you want it.”
