As an urban planner, I\'m faced with data that confirms these consistent and pressing truths - that for far too long the path towards \"The American Dream\" has been a ladder of exclusive access for some, and a treadmill for others. As someone who is pained by these truths (and at the same time privileged with this knowledge), I serve to build bridges of upward mobility for our most vulnerable populations. I am motivated by the belief that housing is a fundamental human right. And that access to safe, affordable housing options are the requisite for building resilient, prosperous, and sustainable communities. With over a decade in public service, I have a proven background in program design and delivery, cultivating public-private partnerships, and developing innovative solutions to improve the lives of children and families in historically disadvantaged communities. Throughout my career, I have used a people-first approach to drive systems change through roles in local and state government, education, community development commissions, and nonprofits.
