Utilize Industry and Boeing Design Standards to develop and iteratively improve metallic propulsion assemblies in CATIA V5 3D AUTOCAD, and 2D Drawings Lead cross-functional engineering continuous improvement projects to improve product performance including cost, weight, and structural capabilities Draft and articulate complex engineering proposals to senior leadership on new and improved designs for the 737MAX Inlet/Fan Cowl Designed, planned and developed propulsion product detail parts from concept to installation on 737MAX airplanes Drafted bill of materials and statement of work required for mandatory engineering packages Designed parts to be produced via CNC Machining (ruled surface, cutter size and length optimization) Coordinates with cross-functional Boeing groups including supply chain, customer engineering, and quality Sustained a productive relationship with external customers through engineering workshops, weekly meetings, and visits to ensure manufacturability, and on-time deliveries Maintains safety and reliability of the 737MAX inlet while reducing part cost and total assembly weight Reduced part variability and complexity while preserving laminar flow performance of the MAX inlet Routinely collaborates with stakeholders in the conceptual design process (materials, stress, supply chain) Maintains assembly configuration control using ENOVIA and Product Data Management (PDM) system Investigates root cause for engineering non-conformances to aid in the prevention of future production issues Verifies complex 2D engineering drawings to a high level of detail ensuring part quality Actively engages teammates and suppliers to ensure the best manufacturing processes are utilized (investmentcasting, machining, 3D printing, hot forming, super-plastic forming)
