ABOUT RASESH RAJPOPAT

Data can tell you what people do, but it takes empathy and vision to build a product they love. I was drawn to product management to work at that intersection of data, design, and strategy.I began exploring this intersection early in my career at Sabre, where I learned to look beyond a single variable like price to understand the full story of customer choice. I learned that while data can segment travelers (some hunting for the cheapest deal, others prioritizing convenient timing, and many loyal to a trusted airline), empathy is what uncovers the universal pain points that affect them all. For instance, I discovered a consistent pattern: even the most price-sensitive travelers would avoid the cheapest flights if it meant a tight connection. The real insight wasn\'t about the layover time, but about a universal feeling: the deep anxiety of navigating a huge, unfamiliar airport. Understanding this human element is the key to building a product people truly love.But turning an empathetic insight into a real solution requires a strategic mindset. This is an approach I\'ve honed through my passions: the foresight I practice in chess, the real-time adaptation I use on the tennis court, and the data-driven precision I love to analyze while watching Formula 1. These pursuits have taught me how to anticipate challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and iterate relentlessly toward a winning outcome, a way of thinking I apply to every challenge I take on.I am currently deepening these skills in the Master’s in Information Systems Management program at Carnegie Mellon University and am actively seeking roles in Product Management, Consulting, and Data Science.
