ABOUT RASA MIKELYTE
I am a Dementia Research Fellow specialising in dementia care, social care, and palliative care. My work centres on co-production, knowledge translation, and developing practical tools to improve care outcomes.Currently, I hold a DemComm research fellowship, co-lead the Personalising Domiciliary Dementia Care project, and contribute as a core team member to the Kent Research Partnership, which aims to build research capacity in adult social care. Previously, I served as a Researcher-in-Residence and led the development of the Hospice at Home Toolkit.With over 14 years of experience as a dementia care worker, a background as an Assistant Psychologist in Older Adult Psychological Services (NHS), and my current role as a trustee for Bright Shadow dementia arts charity, I combine hands-on expertise in dementia support with academic research to improve care outcomes and experiences.
